Happy Birthday - Let's Celebrate

Good afternoon everyone.  I hope you are all well on this bright but - brrrrr cold - Sunday afternoon.  Been snowing again - just a little - today.   Just the excuse to snuggle into my little crafting corner and disappear into my crafting world, before I have to pop out later on.

I've had some Tonic Studios dies hanging around for a while and have used the Vine Square Die on this card along with Xcut die Spiro Circle.  The image is Pop Star from the Paper Shelter, coloured with Promarkers.  Papers are G.C.D Carnival Ride.

A Card for a New Baby Boy

Good evening.  What a lovely three days of sunshine we have had - still a little chilly - but cheerful nonetheless.  Just a quick post tonight to share with you a card I've made for a baby boy.  I treated myself to some new dies over the weekend and the one I used here is one of the Tattered Lace interlocking dies designed by Stephanie Weightman.  It is one die but actually cuts four pieces - including a sentiment (which I haven't used in this card) - a very versatile die.

'Ent-vined' with You

Hello everyone.  Well it is still white outside and I think there is more of the white 'stuff' to come tomorrow.  Not that I mind, it does make the landscape pretty.  Our little dog has had to remain at the vet's overnight after his operation - he had to remain sedated and have pain killers.  We've missed him so much - but never mind with luck he will be back with us in the morning.

But .....onto my latest project.  This image is a BeansieDoodle image coloured with Promarkers.  Still practising my colouring so probably haven't done as much justice to the image as could've been done.  I used my usual Tonic Petal Pairs punches to make the roses and bud.  Papers were free with a mag, ribbons and lace from local haberdashery shop, and dies are Spellbinders and MC.  I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges:-

Thanks for looking and I hope you like it.  Methinks it's a glass or two of red now to stop me worrying about my little dog until tomorrow.

A Book Card

Good evening everyone.  I hope you are all well and not yet snowed in. We are white over again here and it is still snowing heavily.  Funny how it always stays away for the weekend and arrives just in time for a work day!

Today I want to show you a book card I have made.  It looks more difficult to make than it actually is and can be used to hold a small gift or just have that little special message.  I have made it for my granddaughter's birthday and will put in it a little gift for her.  She just loves Rapunzel and the Disney film Tangled, which is about Rapunzel.

I have used a Paper Shelter image, Rapunzel and coloured her with Promarkers.  The papers are G.C.D. Carnival Ride and I have used Martha Stewart dies.  Ribbon and heart brad from stash.

The background picture is a picture of the castle where Rapunzel was held prisoner and shows her hair flowing down to the ground.

Hope you don't get too much snow!  Enjoy the remainder of the evening.

Hearts and Flowers

Well fellow crafters, the weekend is nearly with us again.  Where do the weeks go?  Mind you this week has been pretty full on.  Our little Westie Mac has been limping for a while and the vet's confirmed that there is a problem with his cruciate ligament, a ligament in his hind knee so he is booked to have an operation to replace it beginning of next week.  Added to that our daughter in law was in a three car pile up, not too badly hurt I hasten to add, and it could've been a lot worse as the airbags didn't go off in her car.  But she is a lot better now.  Thank goodness for a little crafting corner eh?

Anyways now for today's card.  The image is Sweet Melissa by Kenny K coloured in Promarkers and the papers I've used are a mixture of DCWV Linen Closet and Papermania.  Two corners have been stamped with one of Kaisercraft's Fancy Flourishes and I made the roses using Tonic Studios Petal Pairs punches.

A Bit of Sparkle

Hope you have all had a good weekend and are refreshed and ready for the week ahead.

For the card I have to show you tonight, I have used a digi image called Summer Milly from Pink Gem Designs that I have had for some time but never used.  The papers are G.C.D. English Garden and if you don't think they look much like a garden except for the colours, there are flowers on the reverse of the papers!  Very pretty and versatile they are.  The dies and the punch are Marianne Creatables.  Sentiment is Craftwork Cards.

Saturday 2 February 2013

It's been a long time...........

......but I am hoping to get back into the swing of things quickly and start posting again.  New year - new beginnings as they say, although we're into February so perhaps not quite 'new year'.

Anyway 'nuff said and on to my first post of the year.  This card will be for my son's girlfriend's birthday.  She is  a total shopaholic so the Kenny K digi image suits the occasion totally.  I love the colours of these background papers which are from Prima's En Francais collection.

I am entering this card into

Kenny K Challenge - Get Sketchy 2
Dream Valley Challenge - Girls, Girls, Girls

Just two challenges today, but there may be another post this weekend.  Start off as I mean to go on eh?

Have a good weekend.
